Description

“The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is responsible for the duration and content of paediatric training and the continuing education of career paediatricians. In this College report we address three questions – what skills will paediatricians need for the 21st century, how are we to produce paediatricians equipped with those skills and how many paediatricians will we need?

We do not offer a single or Utopian vision. The report sets out a menu of short, medium and long term solutions, many of which are within our control although others depend at least in part on Government, other disciplines or management. It outlines the implications for the College and we hope it will also provide a framework that will help clinicians to explain the current situation and problems to policy makers”.
